Spirit & Whimsy will never directly sell or share your personal information. Full stop.
We collect only what we need to serve you well, we keep it secure, and we're transparent about the tools we use to make things work.
When you book a consultation, purchase from us, or join the S&W Community, we may collect:
Your name
Your email address
Your organization or congregation name (if applicable)
Payment information (processed securely - more on that below)
We collect only what's necessary to do the work and communicate with you about it.
Spirit & Whimsy currently uses three third-party platforms, in addition to our hosting platform, to help deliver our services. Here's exactly what each one does:
Calendly (Scheduling)
We use Calendly to manage appointment scheduling. When you book a session, Calendly collects your name and email to confirm and manage that booking. Calendly has its own privacy practices - you can review them at calendly.com/privacy. We do not share any additional information with Calendly beyond what the booking process requires.
Stripe (Payments)
We use Stripe to process payments securely. Stripe handles your payment information directly - Spirit & Whimsy never sees or stores your credit card or banking details. Stripe is one of the most trusted payment processors in the world. You can review their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Zoom (Virtual Meetings)
We use Zoom to host virtual gatherings and consultations. When Podia delivers your meeting link, you'll click through to join - and at that point, Zoom takes over. When you join a Zoom meeting, Zoom collects some basic technical data (such as your IP address, device information, and connection details) to deliver the session. If you choose to enter a display name when joining, Zoom will see that as well.
Spirit & Whimsy does not require you to create a Zoom account to attend our sessions, and we do not receive your personal data through Zoom beyond what's visible in the meeting itself (such as the name you choose to display). Zoom has its own privacy practices - you can review them at zoom.com/privacy.
A note on session content: Spirit & Whimsy does not record sessions or use Zoom's AI features by default. Either would only ever happen with the explicit consent of all participants.
Podia (Website & Community Hosting)
Our website and any digital offerings are hosted on Podia. Podia is a privately owned and operated company - meaning they are not beholden to the pressures of public shareholders or quarterly profit targets. This matters: it allows Podia to stay focused on their mission, their service quality, and the security of the creators and customers they serve.
Podia does collect some standard platform data (such as IP addresses and usage information) to operate and improve their service. You can review their full privacy policy at podia.com/privacy. Spirit & Whimsy does not control Podia's data practices, but we chose them intentionally as a values-aligned platform.
We use the information you share with us only to:
Schedule and deliver consulting services
Communicate with you about your purchases, bookings, subscriptions, or account
Process payments for services rendered
Send you information you've asked to receive (such as resources or updates)
Create your account to access your products and the S&W Community
Successfully fulfil any other services you've purchased or consented to
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not track or analyze your behavior for sales purposes (y'all, there's no way we'd have the bandwidth to even try to attempt that). We do not sell your data to anyone, ever - not now, not in the future. We collect information to serve you, not study you.
If you sign up for our mailing list or reach out to us directly, we'll only contact you with things that are actually useful to you. You can unsubscribe at any time from your account settings or by contacting us directly. Should you unsubscribe, we will 100% respect your choice.
We retain your information for as long as you have an active account with us, or as otherwise needed to fulfill your service, comply with basic recordkeeping, or follow up as agreed. When your account is closed and there's no longer a reason to hold it, we don't hang on to it.
You have the right to:
Ask what information we have about you
Request that we correct or update your information
Request that we delete your information
Opt out of any communications at any time
